Carrie Weaver,
LMSW, CASAC
Through my clinical work, I have seen how grief and loss are often present in ways that are not always openly recognized or discussed. I understand how experiences of loss and trauma can shape emotional well-being, relationships, and our connection to self and others. I believe healing begins with feeling understood and strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel safe exploring difficult emotions at their own pace. I approach grief and loss with patience, mindfulness, and respect for each person’s unique healing process.
Carrie is a licensed master social worker, credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor, certified grief educator, and experienced yoga and meditation teacher. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Carrie has experience working with adults and adolescents in outpatient mental health and substance use treatment settings. Her areas of focus include grief and loss, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She utilizes a trauma-informed, integrative approach that combines evidence-based psychotherapy with
mindfulness, somatic awareness, and mind-body practices.
