Asya Trakht
MD
As a physician, I have always believed that one of the greatest privileges of medicine is being entrusted with the moments that matter most—the experiences of joy, vulnerability, and transformation that define a woman’s life. From delivering a first child to navigating the complexities of menopause and sexual health, I have had the honor of walking alongside women through experiences that are deeply personal, sometimes challenging, and always meaningful.
Women’s health is not a single chapter—it is an entire story. My role is to help each patient write hers with confidence, dignity, and a clear understanding of her own body. I approach every conversation without judgment, creating space for the questions that feel too private to ask elsewhere and for concerns that may have gone unspoken for far too long. Whether discussing fertility, hormonal changes, intimacy, or sexual well-being, I believe that feeling truly heard is the first step toward healing and empowerment.
Joining the Galynker Family Center for Bipolar Disorder allows me to bring this philosophy to a community of women whose hormonal and reproductive lives are closely intertwined with their mental health—and who deserve care that fully honors that connection. My work at the Center will be devoted exclusively to counseling, offering a thoughtful, supportive space to address sexual health within this broader context. I look forward to building long-term, trusting relationships that make it possible to care for the whole woman, across every stage of her life.
